TellCoSOL Solar Water Pumps Model Solothurn are high quality products designed for higher flow drinking water supply, livestock watering, pond management, and irrigation applications. Centrifugal or helical rotor pumps provide large volumes of water economically, without pollution, anywhere from both below and above ground water sources.

Solar pumps could be used for large-scale irrigation, but they can also be used by farmers. Solar irrigation has lowered the price of irrigation significantly for farmers in those regions. This is one of the major reasons that the sector is seeing growth today.
Different Solar Pumps Technologies
Pumping theory is reasonably straight forward, but you can have different technologies in term of solar water pumps. You can have a Submersible (a) or Surface Pump (b) Technology which is shown in the two diagrams below. Depends on technology chosen, we can define the total pressure the pump is required to produce – to get the water to the surface and then to its destination.
The presumption is that pumping / water requirements can be done in daylight hours only and no need for generator back-up or battery storage – but that can also be an option to add battery storage for evening hours.
